Elinta Charge error codes

This page covers Elinta Charge HomeBox Slim, HomeBox Slim on Board and CityCharge V2 chargers. Elinta publishes no list of numeric error codes: the page gives the states shown on the screen and in Elios Cloud, then how to read the lights.

Where to read the code: in Chargekeeper, charging station list, connector details,
Information column (or the list of sessions in progress, Information column). It shows
"OCPP code - manufacturer code - information". See Manufacturer error codes.

How Elinta Charge reports its errors

  • Elinta chargers send no manufacturer code (vendorErrorCode). Some describe the error as text, in the information field. Example received: OCPP code EVCommunicationError, information "Voltage related error".
  • The light and the screen show that there is an error, not its cause. The manuals refer to the charging log and the charger's page in Elios Cloud, Elinta's back office, where an error code is displayed. The current manuals do not list these codes.
  • No mapping to OCPP codes is published.
  • Light colours can be customised in Elios Cloud: the tables below describe the factory colours.

CityCharge V2 — socket status shown on the screen

Text statuses shown on the touchscreen (option) when choosing side A or B. The screen does not show the cause of the error.

Code Meaning What to do OCPP code
Red dot on screen (when stopping the session) Wrong RFID tag presented to stop the session; the cable stays locked Badge with the RFID tag that started the session —
Error That socket is in error and cannot be used; its button is greyed out on the screen. Received from chargers supervised by Chargekeeper with the information "Voltage related error" Look up the error in Elios Cloud (station information page) or in the Information column in Chargekeeper EVCommunicationError
Unavailable That socket is unavailable and cannot be used; its button is greyed out on the screen Check in Chargekeeper or Elios Cloud whether the connector was set unavailable or is in error —

Elios Cloud — charger error states

States shown on the charger information page in Elios Cloud. Only an earlier revision of the CityCharge V2 manual (Rev 1.0) lists them, without definitions: the meaning follows from the name. The manual does not say whether they are sent to a third-party OCPP backend, nor whether they also apply to the HomeBox Slim.

Code Meaning What to do
Voltage Error The charger reports a supply voltage fault Contact the authorised service centre or Elinta Charge support with the serial number; have a qualified electrician check the supply voltage
RCM Error The charger reports a fault on its residual current monitoring (leakage detection) Contact the authorised service centre or Elinta Charge support with the serial number; if it occurs with one vehicle only, try another vehicle
Car Error The charger reports a problem on the vehicle side Unplug and replug the vehicle, try another vehicle; contact Elinta Charge support if it persists
Over Current Error The charger detected a current above the allowed limit Contact the authorised service centre or Elinta Charge support with the serial number
Meter Error The charger reports a fault on its energy meter Contact the authorised service centre or Elinta Charge support with the serial number
Unavailable Charger shown as unavailable in Elios Cloud, listed among the error states Contact the authorised service centre or Elinta Charge support with the serial number
