| CDR | Charge Detail Record | Details of a charging session, used in particular for billing and roaming. |
| CPMS / CSMS | Charge Point Management System | Central system for supervising charging stations. |
| CPO | Charge Point Operator | Operator of charging stations. It is responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of the stations. |
| EMSP | e-Mobility Service Provider | Electric mobility service operator. It provides charging access to end users (badges, apps, billing). |
| AO | Asset Owner | Owner of the charging infrastructure or the land, responsible for investments and strategic decisions. |
| Itinérance | Roaming | Charging access via third-party operators. |
| OCPI | Open Charge Point Interface | Roaming protocol enabling data exchange between operators. |
| OCPP | Open Charge Point Protocol | Communication protocol between the charging stations and the supervision system. |
| Auto Charge | — | Charging mode enabling automatic identification of a vehicle after an initial authentication. |
| Open Charge | — | Charging mode allowed without prior identification. |
| ISO 15118 | — | Communication standard used for Plug&Charge. |
