Gireve is a roaming platform (Roaming) that connects charge point operators (CPO) and e-mobility service providers (EMSP) to make public charging easier to access for electric vehicle users.

Chargekeeper is a certified Gireve partner. Our software is validated for managing CPO and EMSP connections, as well as other advanced features such as Plug-&-Charge and heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) management. This section introduces you to the general concept and to the operating principle of interoperability with Gireve.

Operating principle of interoperability with Gireve

To open up charging access to all EMSPs, an operator (CPO) must subscribe to a CPO contract with Gireve. This contract makes it possible to connect the Chargekeeper supervision platform to the Gireve roaming hub. The technical connection between Chargekeeper and Gireve is carried out by the technical teams of both platforms.

Once the connection is established, operators must create "Offers" on Gireve's Connect Place (Gireve's web administration area). These offers allow each operator to define:

  • The charge points open to charging.
  • The pricing conditions applied.
  • The EMSPs for which charging is accessible.

Declaring tariffs

It is essential to note that tariffs must be declared both on the Chargekeeper supervision platform and in the Offers on Gireve's Connect Place.

This system allows Gireve:

  • To offer the Offers for signature to EMSPs on behalf of the operator.
  • To analyze all the charging records (CDR) sent to Gireve for billing.

Gireve re-prices each CDR to validate that the charging session went smoothly, that it was correctly priced by the operator, and that Gireve's re-pricing matches the operator's. It is therefore essential to align the tariffs defined in Chargekeeper with those declared at Gireve.

Specific offers and Tariff IDs

It is also possible to create specific offers for certain sites or companies using the concept of "Tariff ID". You can assign these Tariff IDs to sites in Chargekeeper and to specific offers in Gireve. This makes it possible to customize the pricing conditions and adapt offers to the specific needs of certain customers.
