Zaptec error codes
This page covers the Zaptec Pro (and the Zaptec Home, which shares its warnings), then the Zaptec Go and Zaptec Go 2. It details the warnings the charger sends to the supervision, then the lights and the display.
Where to read the code: in Chargekeeper, charging station list, connector details, column
Information (or the in-progress sessions list, column Information). It shows
"OCPP code - vendor code - information". See Manufacturer error codes.
How Zaptec reports its errors
Zaptec publishes no list of the values sent in the OCPP vendor code. On charging stations supervised by Chargekeeper, the charger sends the numeric value of the warning in the vendor code, and the warning name in the information field. Example: PowerMeterFailure - 1073741824 - MID. Read the name (here MID) and look it up in the table of your model: the numeric value of the same warning differs between the Pro and the Go / Go 2 (for example RELAY_WELDED is 128 on the Pro, while 128 is LOW_LEVEL_12V on the Go). Several warnings can be active at the same time.
Zaptec publishes the name and value of each warning, but no description: the meanings below are deduced from the warning name, hence the mention (to be confirmed).
Faults not reported. Zaptec lists as a known issue that a Zaptec Pro in native OCPP (firmware 7.5.4.0) turns its light red without sending any error over OCPP (no Faulted status): the supervision then sees no fault at all. If a user reports a red light on a Pro that looks normal in the supervision, check the active warnings in Zaptec Portal. On the Zaptec Go in native OCPP (firmware 2.4.0.2), the charger may also fail to go to Faulted while charging is blocked and the light is red; on the Go and Go 2, error messages are not kept while the charger is offline.
