Chargekeeper can integrate with the Dreev (by EDF) Smart Charging solution to control charging sessions based on energy constraints and dynamic electricity prices.

When Dreev is enabled on a zone, charging control is no longer handled by Chargekeeper, but delegated to Dreev. Chargekeeper retains its role of supervising and executing commands on the charging stations.

How it works

Chargekeeper transmits charging station activity to Dreev in real time (sessions, consumption, statuses). The charging plans calculated by Dreev are automatically applied to the charging stations via Chargekeeper.

Chargekeeper acts as an execution relay, ensuring consistency between the field and the energy strategy defined by Dreev.  Dreev is enabled at the zone level, in the Smart Charging tab, by selecting the Dreev strategy.

Enabling DREEV requires a workshop with DREEV to qualify the site's needs and to define the strategies as well as the data to be transmitted. Chargekeeper then handles the integration of the data and the setup of the data flows with DREEV, before activation on the zone.

Available Smart Charging strategies

Charging needs per trip (Trips)

This strategy makes it possible to define:

  • a departure time,
  • a return time,
  • the energy required to complete a trip.

Recurring battery level need (SoC/Energy)

This strategy makes it possible to define a recurring target for the charge level, for example:

  • every Tuesday at 8:00 AM,
  • reach 80% battery / or an energy target

One-off battery level need (SoC)

It is possible to define a one-off need for the charge level:

  • reach a specific battery percentage (e.g. 80%),
  • at a given moment.

Boost mode (priority charging)

The Boost mode makes it possible to temporarily force a charge at full power, bypassing the optimization strategy currently in progress.

To be used for:

  • an emergency,
  • a critical vehicle,
  • an immediate need.
